System Overview
The SLAB system is a highly accurate pedestrian counter that is designed specifically for hiking trails. The SLAB is Eco-Counter’s first counting technology and remains the most reliable and accurate system on the market.
The SLAB is sensitive to micro-variations in pressure and therefore can detect footsteps with great precision. Up to eight SLABs can connect to a single counting system allowing for great flexibility and adaptability to varying trail widths.

The SLAB pedestrian counter is Eco-Counter’s most scalable system. The system can consist of one to eight slab sensors, making the product adaptable to any trail width. In the case of wide, heavily-used paths, an array of SLABs make it possible to count several people at the same time while maintaining an extremely high accuracy.
Using two rows of SLABs it is possible to measure the direction of travel in addition to counting each user.
